Twins sign Guerrier, Ayala

I'm glad the Twins locked up Matt Guerrier for another season. For all the tongue lashing I unleashed this passed season, it should be noted that "Matty G" pitched pretty well in the first half before completely falling apart. Overuse? Certainly possible.

What we DO know is that he'll be in uniform along with Luis Ayala, who comes to the Twin Cities from the Washington Nationals after posting a pretty ugly 5.74 ERA and 1.450 WHIP in 2008. He did, however, show much better in previous years, and it appears our beloved Twins believe he can regain that form.

If he pans out, then our bullpen begins to solidify. If not, we could have the same roller-coaster second half again. Let's hope for the former.
